PhotoNW Portland Ministries
Honorene is typical of the passengers we serve.  80% of our riders are frail elderly women.  Most do not have family available to take them to needed appointments.  We serve as that extended family.
-- NW Portland Ministries

Reliable, safe transportation is the lifeblood to many of our neighbors. Honorene depends on Northwest Portland Ministries to drive her to physical therapy sessions at OHSU and the YWCA. NWPM has become her extended family since her adult children live out of the area.

“Northwest Portland Ministries is there for me all the time and their drivers are the best!”
--Honorene Lanning
Photos“We have been recipients of your generosity over 3 years, supporting our transportation program.  We have had wonderful guidance from TACS to move in the direction of becoming self-sustaining.  Thank you so much for believing in us and the work we do.
-- Delanie Delimont, Executive Director

Catholic Charities Housing Transitions Program
When Housing Transitions first began housing homeless women, two thirds of the women we met were not chronically homeless - “homeless enough” to qualify for these funds. The Portland Women’s Foundation has enabled us to house more than twenty of these women each year, and 92% of them remain housed.
